Reading Room Management Through Alma: Accomplishments and Challenges
In May 2023, I had the opportunity to present Reading Room Management Through Alma: Accomplishments and Challenges alongside Dhanushka Samarakoon and Eduardo Prieto at the ELUNA Annual Conference in Los Angeles.
We shared the University of Miami Libraries' experience using Alma to manage the Special Collections reading room, including some of the accomplishments and challenges we encountered while adapting the system to meet the particular needs of these collections.
ELUNA is always a great opportunity to connect with other Ex Libris users, exchange experiences, and learn how other libraries are addressing similar challenges. This presentation also had a second life: a few weeks later, we shared the project with the EXPANIA community in Spain.
