On June 20, 2025, I presented Embracing Innovation at UML: Leveraging Ex Libris New Features to Enhance Library Services at the ELUNA Annual Conference in Atlanta, together with Eduardo N. Prieto, Melia Jean-Baptiste, and Manuel Alejandro Paiz.

In our presentation, we shared how the University of Miami Libraries has been implementing and exploring new Ex Libris tools and features. We discussed projects involving Ex Libris Research Assistant, Rialto, AI-powered metadata features, and BIBFRAME/Linked Data, highlighting their applications in metadata management, collection development, and discovery services.
We also talked about some of the opportunities and challenges we encountered while experimenting with these technologies, and how they might help improve library workflows and services. It was a good opportunity to share our experiences with the ELUNA community and learn how other institutions are approaching similar projects.
In addition to presenting, I moderated two other sessions during the conference. This gave me the chance to be more involved in the program and take part in more discussions with colleagues from other institutions.
