In September 2026, I co-authored the article Connecting Across Borders: The 2026 IRRT Global Perspectives Poster Session with Meghan Lenahan, Deborah Margolis, Florence Mugambi, and Blinn Sheffield. The article appeared in International Leads, the publication of the American Library Association's International Relations Round Table (IRRT).
The article provides an overview of the 2026 IRRT Global Perspectives Poster Session, held during the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago. The session brought together librarians, researchers, and information professionals from around the world to share projects, research, and experiences addressing common challenges in our profession.
Through the posters, we highlighted several prominent themes, including artificial intelligence and emerging literacies, sustainability, cultural heritage preservation, access to collections, professional development, and international collaboration. The article also emphasizes the value of poster sessions as informal spaces for conversation, discovering projects from other countries, and building new professional connections.
This publication is closely connected to my work with the IRRT Poster Session Committee and reflects my interest in international librarianship and in creating opportunities for professional exchange across countries.
